important info

• woodstock, VT is about a 2 hr 20 min drive from Boston.  
• The event is close by (final location to be provided closer to event).
• The closest airport is Lebanon, NH (about 25 minutes from Woodstock); a more major airport is Burlington, VT (1 hr 30 min to Woodstock).

We highly recommend booking a hotel or an AirBnB (or a campsite) now. Lodging books up in the Spring for the Summer. For hotels:

• The Woodstock Inn – fancy, nicest in town, you should book now if you want to get a room (will sell out)
• The Shire – less fancy but nice, call and mention the Eggy Family Festival or use this link to get a discount

• Do not plan to drive if you are planning to imbibe at the event.
• limited parking available onsite; please carpool if you are able!

• We’ll be serving up VT style – almost everything will have been grown, harvested, and prepared by hand at an organic farm nearby, then cooked on-site over an open fire.
• There will be grab-anytime bites (think quesadillas, flatbread pizzas, veggies etc).
• An informal buffet family-style meal will be served as evening takes shape (think taco bowls, farm greens etc.).
• And, yeah there’ll be dessert. Of course there will be dessert…we’re not heathens.
• For drinks, this is a beer and wine only alcohol event and we’ll have plenty of non-alcholic beverages on hand.

• There are no tickets for The Thing With Eggy.  It is invite only. 
• In order to attend the thing you must accept your invitation (please!).  If you do not RSVP we will not confirm your attendance.
• If someone was to arrive without RSVP'ing, they will be thrown in jail and fed stale bread and dirty water for 7 full days (this isn’t true, but if you arrive without being invited, you will NOT be allowed in, and you’ll be sent packing, so please don’t tell anyone to just show up, ok?). 
• You will need an ID to attend the thing, so please bring yours.
• We will provide more details on how access to the thing will work as we get closer to the thing.

• This is a totally casual concert/hang, so wear whatever is most comfortable to you.
• Bring a layer in case it gets cool at night, and possibly rain gear, in case of weather.
• no dogs allowed, so please don't bring them (ps: this isn't because we don't love dogs, but because there are other animals around and doggies will spook them)
• No need to bring anything else, although ideas: blanket, binoculars, empty stomach, anything else that makes your concert experience special.

• We intend for it to be sunny, but it may rain. If it rains, the event shall go on, so long as  feasible.
• We will have a tent set up for shade and for rain if needed. We’ll also make do however required, let’s just go with things, ya?
